Desired Qualifications
▪ Prior Experience as an elementary or middle school administrator
▪ Valid Ohio Elementary Principal Certificate/License or Higher
Certificate/License
▪ At least five years of successful experience as an elementary
teacher
▪ Leadership ability to integrate technology into the daily
curriculum
▪ Cooperative and collaborative skills to build effective working
relationships with our entire educational community
▪ Knowledge of current elementary school educational initiatives
including the Science of Reading
▪ Ability to build effective school/community/business relationships
with parents, support groups, and outside agencies

Requirements:
▪ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and successfully with administration, staff, students and parents
▪ Willingness to be actively involved with building and District educational initiatives
▪ Commitment to the continuous school improvement process
▪ Ability to effectively communicate with high school students
▪ Willingness to be actively involved in the team approach
▪ Ability to effectively teach students with special needs
▪ Ability to effectively write Individual Education Plans
▪ Evidences a demonstrated competency in instructional methods, behavior management, and child development

High School Intervention Specialist – K-12 license
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist Licensure REPORTS TO: Principal/Director of Student Service
JOB GOALS: To modify educational program to accommodate students with disabilities
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and/or select appropriate remedial materials
• Organize a well-structured multi-aged and multi-ability classroom
• Have knowledge of the curriculum and program demands at each grade level
• Use task analysis to enable a child to master a concept or skill
• Incorporate PBIS and behavior modification techniques with children in the classroom
• Determine when students are prepared to attend the general education classroom for appropriate subjects
• In the event of an absence, assure the continuance of the special education program by providing the substitute teacher with the following information
o Copy of daily schedule
o Lesson plans
o Information about the location of the needed supplies
o Emergency fire drill procedures
o Notes on students with critical, health, emotional and/or other problems
• Completes promptly necessary records, forms, and reports and maintain records as needed to comply with district, cooperative, state and federal regulations
• Keep thorough and on-going records on each student in specialized programs
• Supervise the responsibilities of paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom
• Administer standardized and diagnostic tests when appropriate to assess progress of each student in class
• Determine student's strengths, weaknesses and learning style
• Write effective and meaningful specific goals and short-term instructional objectives as part of the IEP
• Complete ETR, IEP, and progress reports
• Appropriately assess when a child in the self-contained classroom should be integrated
• Design and use informal assessment tools
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group
instructions in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil
• Communicate pupil's progress, strengths and weaknesses and interpret school programs to parents
